Bio:

An adult Harry Potter fan who came upon the series late.  I ship H/G and H/Hr (despite their mutual incompatability).  The fact that neither Hermione nor Ginny seem exactly right has also led to a dalliance with H/Hr/G threesome stories (my dirty secret).

I don't write much anymore, but I have some ideas for an AU Y6-7 saga that may see the light of day one day.

And so the Silver Trio is born.  I have this lovely mental image of Ron going the brightest shade of red in history when he finds out.  I wonder how long it will take Hermione to talk him down from his snit? ;-)

A lovely little story that nicely fleshes out the characters of Albus, Rose and Scorpius.  This could be the beginning of Albus Potter and the Next Generation, the first of a new 7-book epic.

Author's Response:

Yes, Ron's response won't be nearly as understanding as Hermione's will, although I suspect she was bewildered as well.

I'm actually not writing the rest of Al and Rose's first year, but I am working on their second.  They're not the main characters, but we'll be seeing plenty of them.  (And I like your coining of the "Silver Trio"; quite appropriate.)

Thanks for the review.

I can only smile.  A lovely little summary of a school years romance.  You really bring to life the character of Scorpius.  I don't think that Rose seems realistic.  However, that is right because it is an image of her as seen through the eyes of a besotted young man.

What I really like about Rose/Scorpius is the thought of Ron and Draco having a fit when they find out about it. :-D

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and taking the time to review!  I'm glad you enjoyed this little story. :)

You know, from how young James is shown in the DH epilogue, somehow I think it is inevitable that his Patronus animal should be a Grim.  Padfoot would be very pleased with who his spirit had chosen as an heir.

A well written character piece that, I think, catches the pressures that the children of the heroes would feel.

Author's Response: Thanks for the support. I thought it was singularly appropriate as well. Cheers!

Another next gen story that focusses on the pressures on the heroes' children.  As the youngest, especially with James having such a strong personality, I imagine that Lily would be somewhat retiring, even if she had inherited Ginny's aggressive nature.  Besides, being a redheaded Potter in Gryffindor... It would not have been easy.

This story could have done with a tiny bit more to it.  Maybe remembering discussing the houses with James (Gryffindor), Rose and Albus (Slytherin).  Perhaps talking to Hugo, who is as pushy as any Weasley boy about her 'responsibility' to be in Gryffindor...

I don't know; this story just seemed too short and too light to me.

Author's Response: I appreciate you taking the time to review this story - I've never written a next-generation story; indeed, I've never written a Harry Potter story that didn't include Minerva McGonagall!  Also, I've not read many next-gen stories, thus leading to the slightly fluffy product of my challenge response.  I didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to this story, either, because of exams (ugh).  I do agree with you that it wouldn't have been easy to be a redheaded Potter in Gryffindor, and, if I ever decide to revise this story, I will certainly include your suggestion of having Lily speak to Hugo, James, and Albus.  I appreciate your comments and suggestions - thank you!

An interesting beginning to a story.  I loved the character of Petunia and what you have done with Lily and Rose, who instead of benig her mother's clone, as many writers have her, instead show a bibliophile with Ron's lack of tact.

I imagine that Harry and Dudley are going to have a very awkward afternoon trying to reconnect.  I also think that Ron is going to make at least one faux pas and be taken outside by Hermione for a talking to.

I will be looking out for more from this universe.

Aw! Poor old Dudley.  Still, life happens, I guess.

I found his stories of Petunia's behaviour very interesting.  He is probably right to say that she is likely trying to work out her jealousy at Lily's gifts by living that same life vicariously through her granddaughter.  Young Petunia may find that, like Draco Malfoy with his father, she has to fight very hard to be allowed to be her and not her grandmother.

It is nice to see stories that try to make Dudley act as if he had grown up.  A few authors do tend to make him Vernon's clone but I suspect that the events at the beginning of OotP may have shaken him up a bit.

Hopefully, the next chapter will focus on the kids and their slow attempts to find a balance in their relationships.  I have a feeling that Rose and Petunia might also have a... er... difference in opinion. :-p

*crosses legs* That last bit was definately deep into TMI territory :o

That aside, this is an interesting Ginny POV.  I wonder if the hyper-fertility is genetic, given how close some of the Weasley kids are in age (there are only about four years between the twins and Ginny).

The little things make this story.  I liked Hermione's reaction to Ron doting on Ginny.  I also liked Ginny's reaction to her husband's unerring ability to father children by her.  It was very in-character for her.
