Filch reminisces about the Weasley Twins after their departure.I picked this up from the random story queue. I'm not sure what to say about it. Everything I can think of seems like it would come out wrong. I'll give it a try, though.
This is one of the most adult things I've ever read here. When I first saw the description and the rating, I thought,"ew, I bet I know where that's going." And I nearly didn't bite. But, I have a bit of time, and thought I'd just quit reading if the story slid into sbdm slash.
I'm so thankful that you didn't go that route! This is so much more subtle. I think it's ever so slightly implied that Filch would enjoy that angle. His descriptions of the actions, the expected reactions and the physical results are just a little too graphic for him not to be into the sexual side of things. But, it's the fact that you didn't say it that makes it such a great piece of writing. In fact, I think it's the line, "M for miscreant, M for mischief, M for magic, M for mine..." that really brings that out.
This is a perfectly creepy and disturbing piece of work! I loved it and admire the writing!
Okay, I'm sold. You are a fantastic author. Brilliant. I read one of your stories that came up in the random story queue and was impressed enough with the writing to go looking for more of your work. Slash is not my cup of tea, but if all of your work is as good as the two I've read, I may very well read your slash as well. This is one of the sweetes, sexiest stories around. You have such a way with setting a scene! I swear, I actually felt warm, soft flannel sheets and heavy blankets over me when Hermione finally crawled into the bed. Just brilliant.
Terrific bit of work! I can easily imagine Bill and Charlie being just like this. Poor Hagrid, smiling, never able to resist the lure of buying an egg in a pub!
Sigh. Even if this story weren't really funny, (which it is,) and really sweet, (which it is,) and just all around charming as hell, (which it is,), the line, "An ogre with the emotional maturity of a sack of hammers and less intellect than God gave a dormouse?" would still make the whole story worth reading! (I wish there were more chapters to this. I'd love to read what happened next and next and next!)
How funny! I loved that Ron completely let the goat go during the reading of the list, but stopped them when they said a stripper!
Drunk Hermione was quiet funny, as were all the Weasley boys and Luna an Fleur, too. The whole thing was just really funny, which made the sweetness all the better. Poor Ron. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll have a great time in Bulgaria!

I pulled this off of the random story button, and am so glad I did. I like the touching bittersweetness I've felt while reading these first two chapters, and am quite looking forward to reading the rest!
Hermione feels as if she's watching her life transpire from the outside rather than living it. This is what's on her mind as she sits here, waiting for them, in the same pub where they come weekly to rehearse their lives.Sigh. This is as perfectly wonderful today as it was the first time I read it.
This is beautiful, simply beautiful! I love this whimsical, yet very practical Hermione! (Himself won my heart one Valentine's day by bringing home a salami sandwich with mustard. It's one of my all-time favorite gifts!)
I loved this! If I tried to go on about each reason why, it would come across as gushing, so, I'll just say that I found it to be incredibly touching.
Fantastic! This was as funny as it was sweet! (I loved the line, "On the inside, Ron beamed in triumph. On the outside...Ron beamed in triumph.")
What amazing writing. I just read this straight through today. I believe I've read some, if not all, of it before. I can't think why I wouldn't have reviewed. It's really wonderful. I love the insight that each vignette offered. I like the writing style which allows me to hear each chapter as if it were being quietly spoken to me as I watched the scenes play out. I like Draco being redeemed, and I love all the various relationships. Ron and Harry especially make me happy, as, of course, do Ron and Hermione. (And I loved the author's and beta's notes. There was some good humor in there!)
Sigh. You will always be one of my very favorite authors. You do such wonderful things with words. Your characters don't just come alive, the way you write them, it's as if they've always existed, you simply captured them.
