Summary: This is an extended version of Chapter 17 of “Fate of the Generations.” It would make more sense if you read the entire story first. However, if you want to read this alone - it takes place in June after their 7th year. Ron and Hermione have recently become an “official” couple and Hermione is convincing Ron that she was not cheating on him when he witnessed her in a conversation with Draco Malfoy earlier in the day.

This is just lovely - Rose/Scorpius is definitely a new favored pairing in my arsenal, and this is a beautiful testament to the way I view their relationship. The biggest challenge in Rose/Scorpius fics, I think, is making Scorpius a sympathetic character (I have never been Draco's biggest fan, so I have a built-in bias), but you passed that one with flying colours. Well done!

I'm a real sucker for 'what if?' AUs, where a tiny alteration makes a huge difference in the long run. Mad Martha's wonderful Two Households comes to mind, where Harry shaking Malfoy's hand on the Hogwarts Express has a profound impact. I've written other AUs based on the 'what if?' concept, set at various points in canon, but they're all over on my fiction journal at the present time. One is PoA era, one is OotP and one is DH. The interesting thing is that they're all Remus-centric. This is my first ever time writing Sirius-centric, and I really enjoyed it. He 'wrote himself' very naturally.
