missgranger2,  Wonderful jackpot with the updates, thanks!

I’m glad Ron finally figured out that Hermione was a target as well as Ginny.  In fact, considering the pictures, possibly a greater target.  But…

Here she was just making progress with Fritz and then Ron seems to loose it.  I hope this doesn’t cause too much backlash.  My big worry is that she’s going to try to find Harry to find out what’s going on and end up right where the kidnappers want her.

I’m a bit disappointed in Ron, I can see him getting sick and mad but to take the law into his own hands without help is just foolish and frankly selfish.  Now if something happens to Hermione while she’s trying to find out what Ron’s up to (because face it he sounded like he was off to die/sacrifice himself) he’s going to end up with the same guilt problems Hermione is trying to overcome.  A vicious circle.

Please update soon I ache to know what’s going to happen.

Author's Response:

My Darling Girl!

I hope you are well, dear! *hugs* Ron is not thinking clearly at all. It's a mixture of guilt, anger and a need to get revenge that has totally clouded his judgment. I agree that what he does next could have far reaching repercussions for not only him but our girl as well. Will he do something stupid? Will he have a change of heart? The answers are coming. There are alot of twists and turns on the way, along with a lot of drama. Scabior is ready to strike and trust me when I tell you that it won't be pretty. *sniffs*

You know, your reviews always make me smile. You always amaze me at how you understand what I'm trying to get across or say. I adore you so very much! *hugs*

I hope you'll enjoy the next chapter and as always thank you for your lovely comments! *hugs*

Much love,

Sorry I'm so late I've been gone for a couple of weeks.

What is Ron thinking?  Not that I'm really sqimish about torturing the bad guy for information, but Ron has really lost it here.  Good thing magic can fix this huge mistake.

You would think after all these years that Ron would figure out he can't order Hermione around. Now she's falling right into the bad guys hands. I don't know who to shake some sense into Ron or Hermione they are both to stubborn for  their own good.

Thanks again for such a wonderful attention gripping story.  If you are unable to update quickly because of the holidays I will try to understand that said please update as soon as possible as I'm going a little crazy trying to look after our two heroes.

Author's Response:

My KaL! *happy dance*

I have missed you my dear! I hope you were off somewhere that was fabulous and relaxing. (>:

There is a bit action and drama on the way. The story is finally winding down and you'll find out exactly who all the bad guys are. And yes-our boy and girl are super stubborn at the most critical and dangerous moments. Look for that stubborness to cause a a lot of angst. *winks*

You always have a knack for making me smile and I truly appreciate it. I have had such a great time writing this story and I thank you so much for always being so lovely and so supportive. I adore you so much! *hugs*

I squealed with delight when I saw this update.  So soon, thank you.

Now, though, I'm in as much anguish as Ron.  I'm afraid that Hermione will be found, taken to a muggle hospital, they will save her but because of her head taking such a beating she won't remember who she is.  I hate the suspense.

I really do feel Ron's anguish, but I can't help but be a little mad at him since his rash actions were the catalyst for all of this mess.  I wonder how he will react when he realizes this.  2 Aurors dead, Hermione missing?  It would kill me to know my actions caused such devastation.  Actions have consequences and I hope Ron can come to terms with his.

I hope since they know about Timmons they have someone watching him and catch Emeril trying to kill him, if they catch him before he does the deed really doesn’t matter as long as the catch him.  As far as I can tell that’s the only way they’ll find Hermione.

Oh and did I mention that I hate Dennis Grant, he reminds me of a rat we all know.

I would love to see another quick update but will try and keep my hopes in check as I know the Holidays are usually so busy no one can do any thing but them.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, I wish you the very best this season.

Author's Response:

Hello My Dear KaL! *hugs*

I hope to try and have at least two more updates before Christmas as I sent three chapters ahead to my beta. (>: I am going to try and finish the story this week and I hope I do.

There is a lot that is going to be happening in the story right now.  I am going to be shifting a lot from different perspectives soon, trying to explain it all. As you know, I can't seem to leave our girl alone. *slaps self* Look for her to not be out of harm's way once more. *sobs*

I will also get inside of Emeril's head. Look for him to do some more shocking things coming up soon. And I hate Dennis too. He does remind me of that troll Peter as well. Oh and of course I'm not done with Cormac yet, either. *winks*

I truly hope you'll like the next chapter. Thanks so much for all your support and for always being so lovely. I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving. *hugs* I always love hearing from you so much! *hugs you again*

Another quick update, I’m wondering if I can keep up. Thank you.

I was a bit disappointed in the way Ron took the news about Hermione’s disappearance her blood in the elevator and finding her wand.  Seems he’s acting like Hermione instead of himself.  I never picture Ron weak.  I always pictured him getting hyper, hot tempered, thinking “outside the box”, so to speak, and coming up with the plan to find Hermione and get her to safety, then coming up with a brilliant plan to track the culprit and his co-horts down.  Seeing him so depressed, hopeless, and turning in on himself was hard for me.

I am so glad they found Hermione and that Doc was able to fix her up.  George being there for Ron was touching.  I really felt all the pain Ron, Harry, and even George were feeling.  I for one hope this strengthens Hermione rather than sets her back.

Now I want to see heads roll.  Carving a message in to Hermione’s skin is beyond torture and abuse.

So Ron and Harry can have tonight off to be with their true loves then they better get their Red robes and game on and track these sub-humans down.

Tammy,

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  You so seem to think along the same lines I do that I know we would be good friends if we were to meet in person. Thank you for sharing your talent here with me.

Author's Response:

Hello Dear KaLynne! (what a lovely name)

Sorry to have our boy all down and out, but I wanted him to feel some of what our girl is going through. I also wanted to show how deeply in love they are with one another. I think you know by now how much I love to write angst! *laughs*

Oh that stomach carving bit is a bit disturbing indeed. I was originally going to take it out, but ended up leaving it. I think it clarifies how truthfully ruthless and disturbed Emeril can be. *shudders*

And action and drama are on their way. Look for Ron to start getting down and dirty and total badass! (my favorite Ron of all!!!) It's getting towards the end and I can hardly believe it. *sighs*

I also think we would be inseperable if we ever met. I find you kind, funny and think of you as a really good friend. *hugs* I am overwhlemed by all your support and kindness. I write for fun and stress relief and because I love Ron and Hermione. Do you know how much it means to me when you leave a review AND the sweetest comments ever?

Thank you for that! *sobs*

Almost forgot to let you know I read this chapter.  It seemed a little like a fill in chapter to me not a ton of action but things we need to know.

How evil is Emeril to cold blooded kill a man he felt was his father.  EVIL

I hope Hermione has her guard up as I know she will be back to work ASAP and Cormac is there.

I feel like Emeril is making some little mistakes letting Timmons' wife know he was the last to see Timmons, using their floo. Can't all of these things be traced?

I hope this all happened before Frank was polijuiced to look like Timmons, it seemed like it was, but you never know.

Tammy,

Thank you so much for updating so soon before the holidays you and your beta are great.

Author's Response:

Hello Dear!

It was a bit of a fill in chapter but it all leading to something, I assure you. There are a lot of twists and turns and I want to read over the next few chapters very carefully as I remember it was getting rather complicated. *laughs*

Emeril is a cold hearted soul. And look for Cormac to finally get what he deserves very soon. *winks* As for Timmon's wife, it really won't be a problem for now as he is always on the go and she trusts Emeril. (Poor woman!)

I hope you'll like the next chapter, dear. It's inching closer to finished and I can't hardly believe it. Thank you for all your support and for your kindness. Have a wonderful holiday and I hope that Father Christmas brings you lots and lots of presents!(I know you've been a good girl!) *smiles*

Wonderful update.  2 more "double agents"?  I hope they aren't any that I've come to care about - Frank, for example.  Can't wait to find out.

I enjoyed you highlightening Ron.  His being able to open Timmons locked door, figuring out Scabior is hiding in one of his properties, even having his little owl Pig show them it was really Cormac not Timmons they have.  The topper was having Ron flick Cormac's nose.  Maybe a little Hogwarts but just so Ron.

Well, I'll let you go so you can get back to your writting. Thanks again for updating so quickly.

Author's Response:

Hello my long lost twin...or fraternal twin! *laughs*

I am so tickled you liked it. It has been such a wonderful ride and I am just shocked that it's almost done. *sighs*

Anyway, I think you know by now how much I like to have a few twists and turns. I was originally going to have another scenario but then changed my mind at the last moment. I ended up having to go back and change a few other things to make it make sense. (this chapter included) There will be some drama and some angst(that you know I love) coming your way.

I love Ron. *sighs* This chapter was sort of complicated to write as I wanted to showcase his talents. He is so fun to write and I just have a great time with him. The flicking of the nose was added by my beta which I thought was brilliant. She will sometimes add something while she's reading that I didn't catch at all. She's wonderful that way.

Thanks as always for being here for me. You are just such a warm and very caring person. I hope you'll like the next chapter and I sure hope I don't disappoint wonderful you. *hugs*

Tammy,

I too was not prepared for Fred to die.  Percy redeeming himself, scarificing himself to save his family, yes.  Fred? No.

Sometimes I feel that JKR killed Fred, Tonks and Remus just to add a  "surprise" and try to make the story more like "real life"  we never know who we're going to loose in war do we.  Becasue I have enough real life going on I read for shear enjoyment and don't really need a slap of reality to enjoy the books.

I'm almost sad to see that the story is going to end soon.  You've done such a good job.  Certainly kept me around waiting for this long.

Best of wishes and hope you feel like a new story after this.

KaLynne

My Dear KaLynne! *hugs*

First of all- it has been such a pleasure to get to know wonderful people like yourself. Second of all-I'll let you in on a little secret and that is I could have never had the courage to keep writing without the support of people like yourself. I thank you so much for always being here on the journey as it has meant so much to me. (you'll never know how much) *grins*

As for Fred, I am still having trouble dealing with it. I know the series has ended long enough for me to just move on, but I hated that Fred was killed. I can remember gasping outloud at that line, "The ghost of a smile on his face." It hurt to have such a beloved character killed off. Like I said in my reply to Heather, I know it is her story and that I have to accept it, but it doesn't mean I like it. )>:

I am going to be working on the next chapter today. There is so much I need to to try and figure out. I am also scared to death that I won't get it right or people will think I'm crazy or something. People tell me all the time-it's your story, so you do what you want. Yet, I don't want to let people down and I think that's why I have been slow in finishing it. Anyway, I want to sit down and work on it today and start gettiung all this 'stuff' out of my head. (it's making me crazy!) *laughs*

You are such a sweetheart and your comments made my day AND spur me on. Thanks for everything, dearest! *hugs*

Tammy,

First I apologize for not being right here to read and let you know what a wonderful story you have shared with us.  Thank you so much for the months of enjoyment you’ve given me.  I’ve read and re-read them all from “When Ron Became a Man” to this lovely final chapter.

I love happy endings and I love that you wrapped everything up for me.  It’s funny how I’m so thrilled with your finale yet sad because there won’t be any more.

I’ve had a great time reading your story and getting to know you a little better.  Best of luck in the future, and if you decide to begin a new story know that I’ll be right here ready to read it all.

Love,  KaLynne

P.S.  I just got my 3rd granddaughter 9/24/10; she’s beautiful and I love spending all my extra time with her.

Author's Response:

Awww Dear, sweet KaLynne! *hugs you*

Thank you for all the support and kindness you have shown me. There's no way I'd ever have been able to finish this story without lovely people like you spurring me on. I feel sad and yet, happy to have finished this story. It feels weird not to have to worry about it anymore.

Congratulations on the birth of your new granddaughter! *smiles* I don't have any grandchildren of my own, but my son is now 18 and I know that it won't be too much longer. Enjoy every single minute with those beautiful grandchildren of yours. I don't think I need to tell you how fast life goes. Before you know it, they aren't babies anymore. (makes me SO sad!)

I am so touched by how wonderful you and others have been to me. Please know that I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and leave me comments. I know life can be so hectic, and yet, you took that time out of your busy life. (so sweet!) I cannot thank you enough and know that it means so very much to me. I adore you and some day we WILL meet for a cup of coffee, eh? *hugs*

Much, much love!

So far so good.  I love Ron POV stories.  This is what could have happened after the last battle.  I felt so bad Ron had to see those insecurities before he destroyed the locket.  One thing for sure Ron is strong enough to get through this hopefully with Hermione's help.

I saw you had a new story and had to read, you know I love everything you write.  You really write well.

That said I guess I'm the only R/Hr fan that thinks they only shared themselves with each other.  This being post DH I was really surprised to find had them loose touch with each other and "move" on with other people.  Reunion will be great, I'm just sad they didn't stay faithfull to each other.

Author's Response: Dear Kal, I'm truly touched that you love my writing so much.  I'm smiling like crazy!  Makes me want to improve even more.  That said...(copying you)...did it ever say they had shared themselves with anyone else?  Truly?  I'll just leave it at that.

I'm glad Ron stopped the intimancy with Diane before it went too far.  Now if Ron can only be better at "dumping" Diane than he was getting rid of Lavender, he does attract clingy blonds doesn't her.  I hope he doesn't let his "security" issues about John get in the way.  I think he may have to save Hermione from him.

What is Hermione thinking letting John stay when she can see that he can be dangerous?  What about this bruise?  Was it really an accident?  John sounds like trouble to me.

I hope they clear the air at the Burrow.

FYI - I am the biggest Ron/Hermione fan out there. I love them together and only with each other.  I knew by the 2nd book that they would be a couple.  Even if they frustrate me to death.

Author's Response: Dear KaL, We all know dear Ron and his insecurities.  I would think that as he matures, he'll improve in that department, but when it comes to Hermione, I think he finds himself at a loss.  He wants her, but just never seems to know how to get her and each success comes with an opposing failure.  So, you think John is dangerous, huh?  Yes, I adore Ron and Hermione and just as JKR said, they will be together, but it's the journey between Deathly Hallows and 19 Years Later that feeds the fiction.  So, let's see where this goes, okay?  Can't wait to hear from you again.

Reviewer: KaL Signed
Date: 06/26/2009 Title: Chapter 18: Chapter 18 - And So It Goes

I’m sad and disappointed.  I really thought Ron was saving himself for Hermione.  After chapter 1 where Diane was all over him but they hadn’t “gone all the way” I really thought he just couldn’t be with anyone else.  I thought he wanted/needed to be with Hermione (or at least someone he loves)and now I find he’s had a couple of one night stands.  Sad… just so sad.

I may have to re-evaluate my thoughts about Diane being a slag.  Maybe she knew Ron had one night stands and felt there was more to their relationship since he cared enough about her to take it slow and he gave the a key to his house (address to his floo).  Ron seems to be the slag not Diane.  And no being lonely doesn’t cut it; Hermione was lonely too and she saved herself for Ron. Some things are too precious to give up so easily.

(and yes, this is one of my pet peeves - Ron screwing around while Hermione remains the vestal virgin waiting for Ron to deflower her, yuk)

You wrote the love making between Ron and Hermione beautifully but it seemed  bittersweet to me.  I was glad they told each other “I love you” but I wanted more detailed sharing (talking) between them.  Instead the tension was back; Hermione covered herself up, which understandable since she feels like she looks so “ugly” since she’s half starved, but then Ron got up dressed and left.  It left me feeling like nothing had been settled between them.  I was very glad to see that their bonding seems to be helping Hermione so quickly.

I can’t believe Healer Parker and Ginny let Ron go off on his own especially when they didn’t know how the virus would affect Ron after the bonding.  Healer Parker knew how healthy men reacted to that kind of bonding not to mention someone with an unknown virus.  Someone needed to keep tabs on him.

Now he has a raging fever and a dream I don’t understand, why he is blaming himself for Hermione’s death but in the future, I don’t get it.  Is the virus killing him or is his body fighting it off now that he has less magical nuclidites for the virus to feed on., or is this one of the side effects Parker talked about?  I just hope the name he called into the floo was Ginny’s and that Parker is still there looking after Hermione so that Ron gets the help he needs quickly.

I want to see everyone healthy and hunting down bio-terrorist John and his wicked cousin.

I don't know what you were worried about with this chapter, you did a wonderful job. Did I tell you I hate cliffhangers?  My mind runs wild with different scenarios; which usually end up wrong, but that don’t stop me.  Please if at all possible update soon.

Author's Response: Wow, Kal!  I nearly flipped when I saw the length of this review!  Hmm...let's see how to respond to some of your comments.  On Ron saving himself - believe me, I thought about this for quite a while.  Here are a couple of my arguments:  Ron was very upset when she left and basically sat around getting drunk quite a bit and I can tell you from real life experience that I do know how many men act when they're drunk.  I don't think he made any conscious decision to do what he did.  I even explain that he gave Diane his Floo address while drunk, but after he sobered up, he realized his mistakes, both in giving her the address and in his previous lack of self-control so he was much more determined to hold off on doing that again with Diane.  I tried to make it clear that Ron was not running around in a series of one-night stands.  It was only once or twice in a four year period and both of them when he was in a bad place emotionally.  Besides, on a more technical level, having Ron be a virgin could bring all kinds of complications into an already complicated situation with them trying to complete the bonding.  Next:  No, they weren't going to have some big detailed discussion, not with Hermione being as sick as she was and with Ron dealing with so much worry and doubt.  He just wanted to get her better and at the same time still suffered with doubts on whether she really even wanted him.  And remember, Hermione is still struggling with those words from Diane and what she's seen and heard and thinks that he's only doing this as a friend, out of pity, despite what he says.  Part of that explains why the sudden cool down at the end.  The other part is Ron's exhaustion.  He's not feeling well at all right aftewards.  He just wants to go and lay down and not burden Hermione with more when she's already so bad off.  Ginny and Parker didn't forget about him, but I don't think they realized he'd have such a quick and violent reaction or they would have stayed by his side.  All of your other questions I will leave for you to figure out in future chapters.  I'm surprised you didn't find the little quirky link between the dream and what was said earlier.  Thanks so much for writing me such a long review.  Sorry you hate the cliffhangers, but I have to keep you all wanting for more!!  Have a great weekend and take care!
