I want a garden like this too ...

Beautiful. ONe small niggle: I'll believe that Harry is so prejudiced against Slytherins, but it seems somewhat odd for Dumbledore.

Sweet but not sappy - and I like the roles played by George, and also Seamus and Justin.

Lovely story with an original idea. It's a very entertaining read, and I'm very much looking forward to future installments.

Out of curiosity, did you get your Britspeak from Mad Martha's stories? It's a nice effort, though not always successful.

It does bug me a bit when inexperienced teenagers have sex that good in a story, but I guess that's common in fiction ...

They're also a bit too calm and mature about all this - you'd think they would freak out when it sinks in that they're forever magically bound and legally married, and that there would be more tension and aggression especially in the early days.

Don't get me wrong, though, it's a great story.

BTW, you might find this interesting: http://www.slate.com/id/2192282/

Author's Response:

Always great to get a review I can sink my teeth into!

My Britspeak comes from 47 years of Anglophilia. (Well, okay, maybe just 40. I don't think I knew enough before age 7 to be an Anglophile!)

I do agree that the Trio are having better sex than kids that age really would. My (lame) excuse is that this is fantasy. People apparate, cast spells and come back from the dead through drapery.

As to them being too calm... I think they did a fair bit of freaking out between Chapters One and Two, but I also have to say, as a long-time Trio-shipper, this is, to me, where they have always belonged anyway. I see them as having so much love and trust between the three of them that having a situation of mutual trust like this enforced on them is no big thing. I'm not really explaining it that well, but it's about their mutual trust. As it's the three of them, whatever they face together is all right.

A very dear friend sent me the Salon link a few months ago, and you're right, it's a great and fascinating read that sheds a lot of light on what I'm doing here.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, and I'm glad that, even with your reservations, you're enjoying it.

The characterizations are credible, and I like how the story of their getting together is told in small vignettes - let the reader fill in the details. Very nice.

Rubric Moments by IamShadow Rated: RT - Restricted Themes starstarstarstarstar [Reviews - 17]
Summary: Harry's life was never easy, but it sure was simpler before he started seeing red. And he just knows that being stuck in a tent with his two best mates shagging every night is bound to send him insane. Then there's that whole hunt for the Horcruces, and eventual battle with Voldemort himself to worry about. Why can't he just catch a break, for once?

Just came across some info on ţuică de-a-ntâia: "This is considered toxic due to the impurities from the distillation process (from the fruit or from the inner walls of the boiling tank) and is generally kept as sanitary alcohol." Trying to poison them, are you?

Great story, though. :D

Author's Response:

The bit about it being toxic has been added to wikipedia since I wrote the story; It used to just say it was the strongest kind with the highest proof. I'll probably go through and edit this story accordingly, changing the name to ţuică de-a doua, the next strength down. Thanks for letting me know. I tried as best I could to be accurate, but considering I only had online sources for reference, things like that do creep in.

Thank you for reading! I'm glad you liked it. :)
