I'll just tell you what I told my hubby: Sometimes you read a story, and its funny and light and a bit crack-y, then wham, you are hit with a hauntingly touching chapter which will stay with you for a long time. This is one of those stories.
The inclusion of the narrator was a stroke of genius. This last chapter wouldn't have made as much sense without it.

Poor Gus. He is really being set up for heartbreak, I think. A small part of me was hoping he was going to walk off the train and be caught snogging someone else, that way Hermoine could break up with him, and be free and clear for Ron...but alas, I suspect it will not go that easily.
You are doing a great job of building up the story and I especially like the supporting cast (Ginny in this one, the twins in the previous chapter) and how they are helping to move the story along. Great work.

You are killing me here!!!! I was so excited when I saw this updated, I got a tea, some chocolates and put the kids down in front of the tv (bad mom!). I am so glad I did. this chapter was a wonderful wait, perfectly lovely, without ever getting too sappy or unrealistic.
