Another great story! I really love this quiet, merciful little moment between these characters. It's beautiful, and after having read thousands of fanfics, something else much more rare. It's a surprise. Who would have thought of this little one shot, with this offbeat little paring, and who would have thought it could have such emotional resonance? Well, you, obviously. Good job, and thanks again!
Author's Response: I will be the first to stand up and say "I love Lavender Brown's character!" and then the first to back down when the tomatos start being hurled at my head. I really do adore her character though, and I'm sorry that in canon we only ever see her through Harry's eyes. Through someone else's eyes, I gather that she's a rather smart (if not as much so as Hermione), spunky girl whose only "fault" is seeing Ron as the catch he was before Hermione did.

I adore this. Oddly enough, (because you write brilliant canon) it feels like the most canon you've ever written. I could actually hear their voices saying every word. It also feels like a very natural kind of situation they would find themselves in...Ron being the lovable, but sometimes emotionally clueless "randy git he" is. Oh, I could pinch it's nonexistent cheeks! Sweet story. But I'm not forgiving you for that cliffy. That crap is cruel ;P

For some reason I thought it sounded dirty enough to use as an adult magazine title! (I know, I'm terrible!) I wanted them to have a funny argument and look for more to come. I so love to write the character of Ron! I LOVE THIS ONE! I so dig Hermione as the protective mamma bear. She is also tremendously clever and resourceful in this one...which she, of course, would be. Nice idea with her popping all over the house and getting the babies safe. The bit about pushing the Christmas decorations around them actually got to me a bit.
