Wonderful story! I can't believe I haven't read this before. Anyway, I love it so far: what an original, interesting premise! It's actually a bit funny, because I've recently started a new story of my own, and there are certain similarities between our plots (unintentional, of course!) Anyway, I've really enjoyed the first 5 chapters. John creeps me out, Diane just makes me feel sorry for her, Harry and Ginny are perfect, Hermione and Ron are spot on in terms of characterizations, and Artimus Carrow deserves to be put down!

Oh, wonderfully moving! I sometimes forget what a hard, deprived childhood Harry's led, because he's just so strong and purposeful. But you reminded me of how young he really is, and how lost and alone he must've felt afterward. Sort of empty? I loved your reference to GoF, that was a brilliant canon moment.
What stood out most was the quiet acceptance in Molly. A wonderful piece, overall.

Lovely. I have read the amazing Unity in the Community; I guess you could say I'm a complete sucker for anything the wonderful Solstice ever writes!
I thought this was a brilliant story. Very sensitive and thoughtful; lots of profound, yet simple bits of wisdom scattered in there, in a most 'Hermion-ish' way. You had her dead on: I've often felt her a bit excluded even in the books, because Harry and Ron just gel together so well as mates, even without our slashy fantasies! She would feel all this turmoil beyond doubt, if they were to get involved.
