Excellent. Lavender is one of my favorite characters, and I’m always happy to see her written as something other than vacuous and slutty. I love that you too put her with Seamus. They are a pair, and belong together. Do write more of her. The interplay within her family was particularly good. Also ,what earthlight said.

What?! No reviews yet? Well, I liked this very much. Very moving--I have a hunger for the in-Hogwarts viewpoint that year. From the "Dean's gone, Harry is still missing, and no one's seen Hermione and Ron" to Lavender's "this is not about a boy . . . it's war," from Neville's new position to the description of Hogwarts as just a fortress, we just KNOW that's how it probably looked and felt, as they waged a guerrilla war from within at great risk without knowing exactly where their missing friends were or what they were up to. And yet the more intimate story unfolds so sweetly, and the end is lovely, when it's Seamus who finally brings her "back," from depression, to living. Thanks.
