Real interesting look into their relationship.  I loved the slow build up to being friends first, it really worked for me.  I thought you had Draco's discomfort pegged well.  I have no doubt Draco could summon up a "warm and joyful" memory at that point!

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad it worked for you.  I was going for something subtle and the slow build was definitely a challenge to keep from being a snore;)

Lovely, lovely story. I could see this happening. I like the punishment for the Malfoys, and how Hogwarts was being rebuilt - very realistic to their world, especially Hermione's list!   Nice portrayal of the slow buildup of their attraction and final coming-together.
One thing, though, what was the reason behind Draco's patronus being a hare?  Luna's patronus is a hare, so was there a reason for Draco's to be one too?

Author's Response: thanks for the thoughtful reviewrnI did a little research on animal symbolism for this and came up with a reference that some of the interpretations/symbolism of a hare are rebirth, rejuvenation, resurrection, and transformation and that's how I see Draco in this fic.rnrnsome other interpretations that might be of interest:rnstag -Pride, independence, purificationrnotter-curiosity, feminine power, grace, empathy, helpfulnessrndog- Loyalty, Companionship rndeer -Love, gentleness, kindness, gracefulness and sensitivity.
