Hiya, Beth, I'm so glad you emailed to let me know this was up! I would have missed it in the shuffle, which would have been a shame, because it's such a lovely piece.
I really loved several things that were happening here, but the overall feel and style of the fic were just wonderful- well-paced, nice emotion, good transitions, and enough detail to be able to picture what was happening.
Really loved these two lines:
****"It’s just hard to say goodbye sometimes,” she said softly, looking into his green eyes. “I tend to fall in love too easily.”
“I know,” he said, holding her gaze. *****
It's just so heart-breaking, because it's such an unrequited love. And yet, we know it's the best for both of them, but it does give my heart a twinge.
Really well done! I very much enjoyed getting this outtake to fill in the gaps between the end of KotR and the epilogue! :o)
Yay! I'm glad you were able to find it. I'm glad you liked it. I wrote it as I was working on the longer story and enjoyed tweaking it as KoTR changed and shifted. I liked the idea of Marie Therese and Remus together and envisioned this as how they got together.
Her relationship with Harry was very heartbreaking but also sweet. I'm the queen of the bittersweet. I think that's why the original story from the opera resonated with me so much. But it's mostly sweet - they all end up with who they should end up with. And they can all stay friends, which is important in such a tight-knit community. I just wish it was so easy in real life!
Thanks for reviewing and being my favorite reviewer, Risie!

Ah, that was sweet! Good for Remus, moving on with his life and Therese helping him along the way. I'm glad you explained Harry and Therese relationship. I didn't know Harry was still a virgin, well until Therese gave him some experience in that department. Great job!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I think both Remus and Marie Therese deserve a bit of happiness together - even if it can't be forever. I have another story in this series on its way - same OFC but set in the past.
