I think that perhaps the reason I like this piece is that is that Hermione seems so in canon. Taking a homework assignment to its seemingly logical conclusion is such a Hermione thing to do, as is exploring the consequences of that decision. I have to say that I can clearly see several more pieces that carry on from this one. Can't you see Ginny hounding Hermione until Hermione tells her what happened? And can't you see Ginny demanding her own shot at the experience? Seriously, if you don't feel like writing something like that, let me know and, with your permission, I will.

Unfortunately, I have found that, despite my very best intentions, I just don't do well at all with writing sequels. I have begun several different ones, and it just never, ever comes to fruition for me.
However, I am thrilled at the idea of other writers doing sequels, so if you honestly find yourself inspired, then you have my full permission to enjoy yourself!
