I've (re)discovered this drabble now several times, and every time I read it, I'm impressed. And relieved. And resigned. That really is the only way it could have happened*... but this doesn't bode well for Snape's redemption to lead to any kind of happiness, does it?
*yes, I know he may really be evil...but one can hope...
Author's Response: Thank you so much for that! Snape killing Dumbledore really took me by surprise, so I'd think something caused it (other than him being a spy).

Powerful plot and it sounds so canon to me :)
The last quote was wonderful, so insightful.
Excellent job, S :)
Author's Response: Again, sounding like canon is the best compliment you could give!! And thanks for that about the last quote (I was hoping it would sum things up just as they should be)! I kind of thought that might explain the look of hatred on Snape's face when he confronted Dumbledore before killing him - that Snape hadn't forgiven him for forcing the Unbreakable upon him. But, then again, it could be that Snape's just evil. We'll know eventually . . . :)
