Very interesting concept. It'd be interesting to explore the whole thing. I really loved the line that he tried not to run to her. It's such a powerful image to think of someone running to you because they love you so much they can't stand to be away.

This was an excellent read! You've done a beautiful job of capturing their emotions.
~It’s not the scene she’s imagined. She knows they are skipping over important things. There should be slow explorations, and whispered endearments and promises. But it all seems rather unnecessary.~ I completely agree!
