i love this story cuz i can actually see it happening. i've always thought harry and hermione should be together but Ms. Rowling had the last say on all that. lol. in any case, i always thought there was some underlying tension between the two of them and in ginny's words, "...something no one; not even ron could penetrate." and if ron and hermione did marry, all the love and lust between them would come to a head with hermione finally walking away to her husband's arms afterward. excellently written, well played.

I really liked this story. Despite the ending of DH, I've always thought Harry and Hermione were a far better match. They had more in common -- both raised as Muggles until they got their Hogwarts letters, both had trouble fitting in at school -- Hermione because she was so smart and Harry because he was the Boy-Who-Lived. Although the attraction between Ron and Hermione was obvious early on, he could never find the courage to tell her how he felt. They argued so much in sixth year and kept missing chances to get together. In DH, it was Hermione who made the first move to kiss Ron, not the other way around, leading me to wonder when would he ever have done it on his own? Oh, well. Ms. Rowling forgot to consult with me, I suppose; I could have set her straight! :)

That was so depressing. But so good. I actually have the song (had it for years!) and listened to it while I read. I guess I never really paid attention to the lyrics before. So sad.
