Aww! That was lovely.  A real insight into a mother's dilemma when sending her children off to school (especially a boarding school). 

I'm not usually a R/Hr fan but you got adult Hermione just right.  It is also true that we usually only really understand ourselves when we see it reflected in someone else - in this case, her daughter.

I assume that Harry is with Ginny.  I wonder if this generation of Weasleys and Potters are friends?
