Pathos, Determination, Devotion, and Desperation.  An excellent story that damages the heart.

Author's Response: Thank you very much indeed!  I'm glad you found it so moving!

Nicely written, a polite excursion into teenage angst.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much.  I sincerely hope that you came across this story as part of the series.  Though I hope it stands alone, I still feel it works best in context, as do the previous and following stories.

"Polite excursion".  What an interesting and unique way to put it!

I've been meaning to read this series at your journal for ages, it's on my "to read eventually" list... but it's so daunting when you've got so much already written and I have to catch up on it.

Maybe this will be a good excuse to read it from the beginning as you post more... but then again, it was terribly sweet and I loved this, so I might just have to go and find the next part at LJ! LOL

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, hpuckle!  Posting this here was just a trial run, and I'm still trying to decide if I'll continue to do so.

Fortunately, nothing on my LJ page is going anywhere, and so there's no need to rush!  It'll still all be there when you have the time.  And "Lapis & Emerald" hardly require a stright read-thru.  Each story stands, more or less, alone.

Thanks again!
